Prices are set per person for a minimum of 2 people or per group size. There is a per person discount for each additional participant.
For Izakaya tours which takes you to Japanese bars are not suitable for Children 15 or under, please ask us about children’s paticipation.
Large groups are welcome. We aim to offer an intimate experience so the tour may be altered to fit your group. Please contact us for more information.
We happily welcome solo travelers. To offer the full experience to solo travelers, tour price may vary.
What we’ll do
Your guide will meet you at your pre-arranged meeting spot and time. You will then head up to Hitachi from Ueno by train (about 2 hours from downtown Ueno). You will visit both the Hitachino Nest beer brewery and the Kiuchi Sake brewery. During the tour you will learn about the brewing process and sample both the beer and the sake. You will have lunch in their delicious Soba restaurant.
You will also have the opportunity to brew your own beer blending different hops and malts varieties to create your own unique beer, perhaps the best sousvenir for beer lovers The process takes 3 weeks but we are able to ship the beer to you. (please check the list of countries which we are bale to ship to below).

Hitachino nest beer is a world famous Japanese craft beer brewery known for its top quality beers. Hitachino nest beer has been brewed by the Kiuchi Sake brewery since 1996 and using their sake brewing know how has gone on to produce stunning beers famous amongst craft beer lovers around the world. Come enjoy and experience the joys of both the famous Hitachino Nest beer and the Kiuchi Sake on this delicious tour for beer and sake lovers. The breweries are located in the city of Hitachi a 1.5 hour train ride from downtown Tokyo.
